Moab Trip: Sand, Sun, Smiles

We were able to make a great escape and meet Sarah, Waseem, and Violet in Moab early September. This blog post is part one of three (yes, we had some fun!) of our adventures. We may plan to do this again next Labor Day Weekend. I only wish we had more time to do the things we wanted. Time flew by (that's what the theme has been all summer!) ........

Views from our cabins.........

This was the best view of all..........  ;)

Our actual cabins......

The campground we stayed at had a swimming pool and playground right close by the cabins.
It was impressive and beautiful.

We settled in nicely.......

Bryan wanted to scope out the river in anticipation of our rafting trip on the colorado river.

We didn't just scope it out, we felt it out! Haha
At least they did and I took pictures........

Willow filled her belly with immune system building mud......

Clearly making a splash.........

Rolling in the mud = great times

We found a great spot for a picnic along the river.......

Ava found many lizards; Bryan caught one......

Here is a different one that Ava found. I was just a baby......

We played some more by the river.
Sand, sun, and smiles.......

Freedom to roam......

....... and do an adorable baby photo shoot :)

After a busy day, we returned to our humble abode.......

Just to rub it in..... we feasted on fresh fried zucchini, watermelon, tomato and cucumber salad (all from the garden) and lamb steaks!
Meal for kings and queens! Yummers!

More of the trip later......
