A Day with the Cousins

Sarah, Jamie and the girls came out for a visit last Saturday. It was on the same day Charlie was playing with my kids. So, we drove over to my mom's house to see the cousins. They were only out for the day. We don't see much of each other so I take advantage of the times they come out. I still need to plan a trip to stay with them sometime. After our schedule slows down a little ;)

Snow & Rainbows :)

Ava is always thrilled when we get enough snow to play in. This was Zeek's first experience with snow so he didn't know what to think at first. After a while, I think he really shared Ava's love for fresh powder. He shoveled his nose right through it :)

We ended up getting 4-5 inches. As usual this time of year, it melted by the next couple of days......

The next week, the temperatures climbed up and we received additional moisture ~ in the form of rain! 

With rain mixed with sun comes rainbows.......

Emma was over one day playing at our house. They were back in Isaac's room playing. I heard laughter and talking for a while, while I was busy in the kitchen doing something. Then, it got quiet. Hmmmmm, I had to go investigate. Here is what I found:

Ava's Fourth Posted Art Gallery

Ava continues to reveal her creative mind using paper and crayons. This is the fourth posted art gallery. Her figures are always changing; which is what makes this fun. She still enjoys drawing various kinds of animals. However, she did include her brother this time around (in the first photo). Some are even holiday themed. She really didn't let that bulky cast on her wrist slow her work. She continues to surprise me; it makes me smile :)

Farewell Fall

We enjoyed the last warm days of Fall. I had to turn the sprinklers on to water the poor, thirsty trees. We knew there was a storm in the extended forecast though that would bring the freezing winds of change. The wind was disrobing the poplar trees; leaves floated around then crunched beneathe our feet. It was fun to hear them rustle as Ava and Isaac skipped into a golden pile...............
