Utah's Hogle Zoo

We had an appointment with our friend and vet (& Bryan's BYU advisor) in Provo, Utah to get Zeek neutered last Monday. We decided to take advantage of being in the big city. Beverly had an annual pass for the Hogle Zoo. It's the off-season which allowed us to visit without the large crowds. Born in the zoo in the last year, were a baby elephant and giraffe. So cute!  In my experience when you go to the zoo on hot days, the animals are usually sleeping. With this cooler weather, the critters were quite lively and more alert. Or maybe it was the time of day ~ dinner time!

The baby elephant enjoyed his mud hole............

The giraffe showing off his great stature  :)

"Gimme Kisses!"

Look at that face! I wanted to scoop that leopard kitten up and cuddle him...... lol

We took a break from the exhibits and let the kids ride a zebra .................. on the carousel of course  ;)

Love, love, LOVE this little booger ~ the Spider Monkey :)

What a beautiful evening!

P.S.
Zeek's (snip/snip) operation went smoothly. It's nice to get that out of the way ~ I mean those. Haha
Glad that's behind Zeek; oh wait they are not.............. Ok, ok, bad jokes. Hehe.

"Special thanks to Beverly!"
