Easter With My Peeps :)

Happy Easter Everyone!

I'm sure everyone is having a busy weekend. We decided to have an egg hunt for Isaac and Ava after church today. We went over to mom's house where mom, Audrey, and I hid a dozen eggs around the property. It was a little windy, but it didn't spoil the fun. Isaac used a rather large basket, but it didn't slow him down much. After a few hints they found all the eggs :)

Love hanging out with my sweet peeps :)

Yard Project

Before this week's cold snap, we had some wonderful warm days. I spent some time getting stuff done in the yard. I had been over to my grandpa Heber's house the other day and noticed his handy, organized tool rack he had erected near his garden. I thought it was so neat. He also had a hose hanger that he built from a wheel rim. I realized that I had random "junk" laying around our property and that I could probably build something like that myself. Sure, enough, I found exactly what I needed to complete these projects, including wooden posts.
Best of all, I didn't have to spend any $ !

Here is my hose hanger:

This is my tool rack:

I used old horseshoes for the actual "hangers" for the tools.........

I may end up staining all the wood posts to match my cacti garden.
This project got me excited about other things I could do. Grandpa is the inspiration. Plus,  I'm all about being organized.
Ok, I'm somewhat OCD....
lol

On the other hand, I don't know why I'm thinking of new projects when I am still playing catch up with other stuff!

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

It's officially today! Although we celebrated last night at the Border Inn. We went for dinner and stayed for the live music for a little bit. We were all tired from the busy day so we didn't stay as long as we normally would. My camera had some good use:

lol ........... true bromance ;)

Then, band began to play and the kids were the first on the dance floor.........

Happy St. Patties Day from our little leprechaun to yours!

Pop, goes Another.....

Tooth!
Yep, but this time Ava initiated this one; on accident. She was at the dinner table one night. She sneezed so hard that she hit her tooth on the table. It was really wiggly then. She wasn't happy about this one.  She didn't want us to pull it out. I understand that, as when I was a kid I would never let anyone pull mine either..... lol

So, it fell out at school the next day. She couldn't find the tooth AGAIN.

Haha :D

Casting Shadows

Our last trip into Cedar City, Bryan wanted to check a location for Prairie Dogs. There they were! I admit, I get excited when we find what we are looking for. As I watched them, I wondered if they saw their shadow.
They are related to the groundhog right? ;)

We had a storm system move in last Friday. It snowed, I believe, 5-6 inches although it was hard to measure because it melted soon after it hit the ground for the first few hours. It gave us some much-needed moisture to the valleys and dumped some in the mountains. I tend to welcome snow these months because it doesn't hang around very long. After this cold winter, I've had enough. I'm ready for Spring already!
This photo shows the precipitation we received:

Happily, our warm weather has arrived! The kids and I got a little too sun-kissed yesterday. Tomorrow is going to be 70 +.....
I've got the Spring itch and want to do so many things right now!

The other day, I heard Isaac and Ava in the bathroom talking. I noticed the light was off. I slowly opened the  door and they were playing with the flashlights......

I love how easily entertained they can be sometimes........

They did learn a lesson here though! Ava noticed that when she moved her toy horse closer to her (away from the wall) and shined the light on it ~ it cast a LARGE shadow! They experimented with various toys in different places; all on their own. I just ran to get my camera and watched. I got a kick of their excitement of the growing shadows.
