We returned to watch the Mexican Free-tailed bats on a stormy night. Constantly changing beautiful flight patterns in a moody multi-colored evening sky. Simply being. A wonderful symphony playing out in front of us as we sat in the mouth of the cave......

Bat Surveys Continue....
Bryan and the crew are wrapping up bat surveys for the year. One of my favorite places to see the bats is at Rose Guano Cave. The cousins were in town for the weekend so they were able to join us. Gretchen and Emma came too. What a great looking group of kiddos....
It's not uncommon for the researchers to process 300 + bats in a night.....
The kids get to learn a science lesson and have close encounters with the bats....
I was looking forward to returning another evening just to get photos of the bat flight.....
