Fall is my favorite season; assuming we have one in the Great Basin. Sometimes we go from summer to winter. The last few years have treated us kindly with a great transition of color and temperatures.
We could see color popping up around the mountain from town so we thought we better go drive up to the trailhead soon before we missed it.
We stopped at Mather Overlook first.......
Summit Trailhead:
My terrific trio with hair the color of Fall :)
The following day we went up to Strawberry Creek to walk the trail. It looked like the end of October there. Many of the trees were already bare.
I got them all looking in the same direction!
Victory!
These photos make me smile. My kids put up with a lot with my photography hobby. I hope they will appreciate it later in life :)
I'm thankful we had such a great fall season. I'm aware that the wind of change is around the corner. It started to feel like October this week......
