Candlelight Service/Nativity Play

Well, I really was looking forward to the service and play; but then both Bryan and I got that same bug that Ava had and we ended up having a sick day. Isaac actually had it for a short period of time too, but kids seem to bounce back fast. Bryan and I layed on our living room floor watching movies. Thankfully, for Ava and Isaac ~ the show went on.......
I am SO grateful to my sister (AKA Crazy Aunt Audrey) for taking them for most of the day, including making sure they were there on time for the service that night! She also took my camera and got some photos for me. So I credit Audrey for all these photos:
*Thank you Audrey!!!!!*

Ava, also a shepherd, was able to join Danielle and Isaac on the hill to watch their sheep:

I heard the play went really well. I'm hoping to see a video sometime. Thankfully the stomach bug lasted no more than 24 hours. We both recovered by Christmas day ~ and had a fabulous one :)

Nativity Play Dress Rehearsal

This time of year I anticipate watching all the kids in the nativity play and the candlelight service. Dress rehearsal can be equally fun. It's the first time seeing the kids in their adorable costumes. Ava was home sick with a stomach bug that was getting around at warp speed. Isaac was happy when Sharon draped his costume over his head, but was even more thrilled when she handed him a staff! lol
Here is Isaac, the Shepherd:

Most of the kids did great with their lines. Others, I think were due for a nap ;) Haha. This included Isaac. I had to take him out in the hall and have a discussion with him about his behavior.  I was going to make sure he was well rested for the Christmas Eve performance........

Sharon (the director)  is so talented, and very patient.......

The thing with the live nativity show, you never know how the kids will act....... which is part of the fun of it :)
I was looking forward it........

All I Want for Christmas, is You!

No, I didn't get any Christmas family photos in the last couple of months. However, I got some random ones of Zeek and the kids:

Can you tell how thrilled Zeek is? He better be glad I didn't dress him in an ugly sweater.... Haha

Love, love my silly kids!

Just so you know, kids don't usually perform for camera on command. Most of the time, I resort to bribing (since we still have a lot of holiday candy)...... lol
Although, every once in a while they ask "Mom, can you take a picture of me?"

When, I look at these photos I can't believe how big Ava and Isaac look.......

Home for the holidays ~

Merry Christmas everyone!
