Sam & Charlie's Birthday

I was going to post this almost a week ago - but I guess better late than never.........
It was Sam and Charlie's Birthday's last Saturday at the Roberts house. Everyone had a great time. People lined up to go on the new slip-n-slide.

As you can tell, people just slid with what they had on at the moment ;)
lol

Adorable little Emma hammin' it up :)

Photo -op of the kids (who would actually stand there for the photo)

Roberts Clan :)

The kids had been salivating at the sight of the cakes on the table and were excited when it was time to actually eat them!

There's the Birthday Boys!!!

To top off an eventful day - they got a little soccer game going which lasted until dark......

I'm sure all the kids at this party slept like babies again that night :)

Workshop at Home Farm

"Ahhhhhh, take time to relax"............
Everybody needs bodywork...............

All week Home Farm (a community about 6 miles from Baker) is hosting a Natural Healing Workshop: Alternative Ways to Wellness. It focuses on healing our bodies, our spirits, and our world.

I'm excited to be one of the many presenters that will participate in the seminar. My mom is going to present (herbology) this week as well. We are both scheduled for Thursday.

I will be demonstrating and discussing Massage & Bodywork: Trigger Point Therapy & Gua Sha Cupping Therapy. I will also include an introduction to my favorite essential oils.

Here is the schedule if you are curious about the subjects.

Art Space

Our good friend Nomi from up at Home Farm invited the local kids to her "ART SPACE." It was a great hit! The kids loved it and really wore themselves out with all the great activities. They played with clay, pushed each other around the field on toddler toys, played with costumes, went swimming, played with bubbles, and painted.............
Nomi, with help from friends, set up and created this Art Space Trailer. It is so creative and I was impressed with how it's coming along. It is still a work in progress - but what a cute and fantastic idea. Plus the kids can really express themselves artistically. Inside the trailer there is a costume room, nature and puppet show room, and each one will be decorated with a theme. Not to mention ALL the activities and goodies in the cubbards. It's going to be great. It's hard to explain..... you'd just have to walk inside (it's larger in the inside than it looks from the outside).

One of the best parts about it are these old fruit trees that will be fun for the kids to climb - but provide great shade in the hot summer :)
Nanna Val stopped by to see the action. Ava was thrilled to see her and ran into her arms.

They also have plans for a large playset: slides, tire and regular swings, rock climbing wall, sandbox, and a fort on top with a spoting scope. It will be posititioned near the Art Space Trailer.
Nomi had the kids put on these "painting shirts" so we wouldn't worry about getting their good clothes messy. Then, they spent time painting - even sharing their canvass. I thought this was a cool photo with Mount Wheeler (13, 063 ft) in the background........

Charlie is such a cutie pie - could he be the next Pablo Picasso? He sure looks like it ;)

Here is Ava's final painting product :)

It'll be fun to show her this when she gets older................... lol
Thanks the invite Nomi and for a fun and memorable day. We look forward to more Art Space days!

Take Me Out to the Ball Game!

The great American game of softball has been started in Baker once again! A good number of people came out to the field on Sunday night to get their game on. Others, like myself, enjoyed the show ;)

It was neat to see the dust stir again in this old field................ and everyone was enjoying themselves.

Josiah's got his game face on............

I tried to get some good action shots with my camera................

"Hi! John & Anita!"
Ava had fun playing on the swings.........

Here is her view of the game from the swing.............

Here are a sequence of photos of Josiah in action............

And Bryan..............................

Meanwhile, Ava abandoned the swing to play with a bat and ball to polish up her skills.......

Next, Caleb.....................

and Kaylie :)
She anticipates her next swift move............

Back to the swings once again........................ and I don't mean the bat. lol

Alicia was a dear and held Isaac for me :)
Thank you!!

Then it started to get dark and the game was wrapped up.................

Then it will all begin again next Sunday.................
