Alyshia Baker's Birthday Bash

A few weekends ago, I took the kids to Silver Creek to Alyshia Baker's birthday bash. It was a really hot day and the water was refreshing. Everyone was sportin' their lifejackets. Ava always looks like such a big girl wearing one of those. She's getting too big too fast :(

Isaac isn't into water like Ava was at his age. Unless it's the bathtub. In which case I should just make the statement that "Isaac only enjoys warm water."

That was a great way to spend a lazy Sunday!

Kids say the darndest things:

A couple of weeks ago Ava and I were walking over to the playground in the middle of the afternoon, she exclaimed "Look mom, there's the moon!" She's such a chatterbox lately sometimes I just quickly reply "Uh - Huh, Yep!" But when she mentioned the moon around noon I looked up and there it was. Obviously not uncommon but her statement after that made me laugh. She said, "Mom, do you know why the moon is out right now?" I asked, "why's that?" She then replied "because the moon wants to enjoy the sun!"

Danika's Bridal Shower

Early August, Bonnie & Chandra threw Danika a bridal shower over at EskDale. A good time was had by all. Here are the series of photos I took at the party:

Blues

Bryan has been able to perform The Blues at several events this summer which has been fun.

The first time was at T&D's during the Snake Valley Festival in Baker. I think I posted these three photos in a former post - but oh well.

The second time Bryan performed was at Great Basin National Park's Ranger Talent Show. There was quite a large audience! I tried to get photos of all the performers but either the lighting was bad or Isaac wasn't going to let me. People proved to be talented! I'll look forward to next time as it is an annual event.

The last of Bryan's public performances (featuring Ava) was for EskDale's Summer Concert Series.

Preschool starts really soon! I think, next week. Woo Hoo!!

Ava officially ditched her pacifier before her birthday ~ Thank the Lord!!!!!!!!!!

We are having Ava's birthday party this Sunday. I can't believe she's turning four! *sigh*

She's going to get wild with her friends!
