Ankle Biter and Nail Biter

We were all sitting around a checkers game the other night and I caught Isaac chewing his toe nails. It  reminded me of my brother when we were kids. But, with those monkey toes he inherited from me ~ he has no problem gnawing the corners of each nail.....

I told Isaac that if he keeps doing that he'll grow toenails on his teeth..........
Haha

Here is his reaction to that joke:

He and Ava thought that was pretty funny .......

Something new and fun is hanging at our house; a couple of swings! I bought a plastic disc swing to try. Then I made a regular one out of wood. Someday I hope to have a large "living" tree to hang them on instead of a large dead tree ..... Haha

Our neighbor, Mark, met Willow for the first time :)

..... and I just can't help but throw in a few pictures of her because she's growing so much; in addition to being cute as a button!

Ahhhhhhh

Andi's Birthday Bash

The kids were invited to their friends birthday party. She lives in a remote area halfway to Gandy, at a cute little cabin surrounded by old cottonwood trees. The kids were drawn to what was hanging from the trees; homemade swings! There was even an exercising hand bar to swing on. I admit, for a minute I wished I was a kid again so that I could fling myself around on a rope as well as Ava and Matthew did!

Anyway...... back to the party and the birthday girl. Here she is, Ms. Andi Mae ~  officially turning 4 !

We went inside. The kids received party favors and played while Andi opened birthday presents......

Then came the cake and ice cream. Andi blew out the four flames before we indulged.....

Then, the swings called us back outside. The sun was thinking about setting at this time......

I literally laughed out loud because Ava looked like such a little monkey swinging around on that bar.  Check out some of these poses.... even the one handed one!
LOL :D

I have actually been thinking about putting up a swing at our house on one of the trees nearby our trampoline. Watching the kids made up my mind of going through with it.....

It was another swingin' good time in Snake Valley!

Future Musicians

Ava and Isaac have always had a great interest in music and musical instruments. They even have rhythm. Lately, they've had an interest in playing my violin (with supervision). I say, the earlier they experiment, the easier it will be for them later. We may have a family of musicians in the near future; perhaps a family band?
:)

Ava is left-handed. She doesn't know that she is actually at an advantage playing a standard violin in the standard way. A lefties hand is their dominant one, this makes it easier to finger the strings. The other hand mostly grips the bow and is not used as much as the dominant hand.
She picked up that violin and started to play like she's been doing it for a month...... Ha!

Isaac equally loves to play. He's got some growing to do. But, the ambition is there :)

Ava also has her guitar. The strings need to be replaced, but she still manages.

2 Months Old

Of course this post is all about our little Willow; who is growing so fast! She remains so alert, mirroring the expression of the person's face looking at her. I love it when she giggles. She is still so easy going, we have no hesitation taking her anywhere. We are looking forward to her joining our adventures soon! And with those eyes and curiosity ~ she won't miss a beat! Ha!

Willow loves to be where she can see her brother & sister.......

How can she seem so big already?
I have to take pictures of her in different outfits before she grows out of them......

Precious moments;
Sweet little one
