Plante Place: Part Two

Tammy owns a small business called "Mustang Minds" training horses. If you ask me, I think she's a horse whisperer. She's got a gift with them. Ava was excited to get back on a horse again. She practically skipped through the pasture. She is really comfortable around her favorite animal.

Ava in horse heaven ;)

Tammy goes over some things with Ava and let's her take the reigns so she can lead the horse to the stable where they'll saddle him up........

The horses name is Joker (Tammy's baby). He is the most obedient horse.  After saddling up Joker, Tammy gave Isaac & Ava a gentle ride around the property.

Tammy took Ava on a ride while we got some photos in one of Jon's vintage GMC rigs...... lol

Tammy took Ava on a great ride - showing her Joker's tricks and gaining some speed at times....
I was able to take some action shots......

Afterward, Tammy took Joker in the round pen where myself, Ava, and Isaac rode for a little while. I haven't been on a horse since college. It was fun to be back in the saddle :)
Joker is a s.m.o.o.t.h. ride!

This last picture is one of my favorites:

Plante Place: Part One

Last weekend we drove to my aunt & uncle's, Tammy & Jon Plante, house in Nephi, Utah. Visiting them has been on my mind the last year. It was nice to reunite for a great time. I've always loved their property. It's full of fun antiques. I couldn't help but take some photos. Much of the metalwork creations were welded & made by Jon.

Tammy has rescued many animals the last few years. Many she's sold or gave away to nice families. Some, she's kept.  Here is the "Plante Pack!"
There's Oz, Sport, Jazzy, and Zeek (who we were taking home).

"Ghost Riders"
These are the Harley's that Jon built....... cool, huh?

Tammy kindly took us horseback riding, which we spent the rest of the day doing. I'll post my favorite photos later. Most of them I posted on facebook.

Thanks Jon & Tammy for the hospitality; we always enjoy your great company! We won't wait too long next time to visit ;)
