Yard Photos

Don't be confused when you look at these photos. They were taken around the first week of October. If these were updated, the leaves would be stripped from the trees. The only thing that hasn't changed much is the grass. Ha! Mostly, I wanted to take these for my personal collection to show how much the yard has changed since we've moved into this house. Once upon a time this was an almost tree-less, dirt and goat-head patch of property. It's great to see the transformation.......

Preschool ~ Watch Me Grow

I keep reminding myself that this is the last year that Isaac is in preschool. I try to remember to get some photos every once in a while. There is a large crop of kids. They are all so cute.

~ Watch Me Grow ~ 

There was a lady that used to live in Home Farm (up the road from Baker) who moved suddenly and left some nice playground equipment. It had been sitting up there half set up for almost a year. After people were asked around the valley if they wanted it, and turning it down, we were asked again and I thought, "Well, why not? I usually have my kids and other people's kids at my house." As my friend Nomi put it, "It's kid central" at the Hamilton house. Ha!

Thankfully we had help from our friend's Patrick and Jess too. Bryan and Patrick spent a whole day setting it up.
It was missing pieces so they had to custom make parts (like the ladder). What a pain in the @$$.
Ha! But it was free!
But, it was the perfect day (weather-wise) to build it.

What a NICE setup though! The kid's love it!

The kids better not ever say they are bored.......... Ha!

Now I just need to get some sand for the sandbox; and we still need to build the monkey bars.........
But, Bryan and Patrick did a hell of a job; thank you guys! 

Strawberry Creek Fall 2014

The Fall weather here in Snake Valley has been exceptional. The leaves have had a gradual change. We've been able to adjust to the fact that winter is around the corner easier; instead of usual early snow storm systems that can move in. We've had an extended warmer season which has allowed us to get out and about. I can hardly believe that we are nearing the last week of October! Geeeez.
One recently Sunday, we met our friends Jess and Benjamin at the Strawberry Creek trailhead to enjoy a little hike with the kids. I had been there the weekend before and the colors weren't as vibrant as they were this time. One week ~ what a difference!
Our first stop was actually not the trailhead, but a hidden picnic area in between the beautiful aspen stands. All around, there was a golden glow.

I took a few cute pictures of the kids: Ava, Isaac, Willow, and Benjamin 

Couldn't resist the cuteness......

Then, we drove up to the trailhead to meet some other friends ~ Royce, Lupe, Adolpho, and Blake.....

We decided to eat our lunch before our boots hit the trail.......

Willow is always a happy hiker :)

It's been great to make some extra adventures this warm Fall season..........
