G is for Goat

My cousin Janille Baker and her family grew recently; adding several more kids to the Baker clan ~
the four legged kind. Goats. Janille invited us to come see them any time. Mom, myself, and the kids happily drove over to see the knobby-kneed, long eared cuties. Ava wanted to take them home. Isaac seemed interested in the goats for about 5 minutes, then decided the toys in the Baker's yard was much more appealing and fun. lol
Even Cheryl, the surrogate mother, won me over. She really liked her head scratched behind her horns. She's a sweetheart. We fell in love with all of them; how could we not ;)

Thanks for inviting us over to meet the new members of your family, Janille!

Whimsical Thing

Some may think goats
are a whimsical thing,
Like zip-a-dee zip
and zing-a-dee zing
But if you ask me
goats are made from the stuff
that bonds with a tender heart
and makes softies of the tough

Visit with the Lamb Clan

Last week we had the privilege of having a brief, but great visit with Rachel, Aaron, Hayden, and Addison. They were on a mission to retrieve furniture from mom's and take it back to Elko, NV.
I didn't end up taking too many photos. Plus, Hayden runs around so fast it's hard to capture her without a blur.... lol
It was fun to chill out & hang out with the family over a weekend.................

Isaac loves his crazy Aunt Audrey!

Uncle Adam + grandkids = scary masks

In case you haven't heard - another little Lamb is on it's way! We are THRILLED! Rachel is over 2 months along. Maybe a boy in pending this time around? If not, of course we'll love her too! :D
Congratulations Lamb family!

Soakin' up the Snow & Sun!

Here are a series of photos of our fun in the snow. This is our first snow(woman) in 2012 ~ she didn't stand much of a chance on this sunny day. She quenched the ground's thirst by late afternoon.

The blanket of snow quickly transformed into patches......... we had to drive to higher ground to go sledding on Sunday. We ended up meeting up with friends (Ben, Sam, Chandra, Christian, Brianna, Kara, Jenna, Gretchen, Craig, Matthew, and Emma) up at Great Basin National Park. We were excited to FINALLY surf on the snow and throw a few snowballs of course ;)
Bryan stayed home because Isaac fell asleep......

Ben whitened his beard at the end of his run ;)
Haha!

Here are a couple of videos for your entertainment:

Good times; good times :)

Friends

Before the ground was soaked with snow and the sky darkened with grey clouds - we enjoyed some sunny days with friends. Gretchen brought Matthew & Emma over and we had some fun in the sand & sun. I wish I could tell you that we played on the beach. I guess the sandbox will do when your hundreds of miles from an actual beach (other than the remnants of the Lake Bonneville beach) Haha.
We also practiced our tricks on the trampoline :)
No one got hurt in the making of the material for this post ;)

On a different day - we found ourselves in the sticker bushes at the Garrison playground again. This time Charlie joined us.............

"If you're alone, I'll be your shadow. If you want to cry, I'll be your shoulder. If you want a hug, I'll be your pillow. If you need to be happy, I'll be your smile. But anytime you need a friend, I'll just be me."
