Ready, Snow, Go!

A dramatic change in the weather arrived!
"Look! Snow!"

Vwalla! Old Man Winter left a great impression (a blanket of white measuring about a foot at 7000 ft.) What's weird is of how isolated this system was. Ely and other parts of Nevada didn't get it, even the west and south sides of Wheeler were high and dry for the most part. At least it ended the dry spell on our side of the mountain. Hopefully we can get another storm like this one. So, the town of Baker only ended up with about an inch. We had to go up into the park to higher elevation (Baker Creek) to do our first sledding of 2015!
What can I say, we were so excited! Yes, I took a lot of pictures ;)

From 60 degrees to snow to the knees!

Even Willow was thrilled :)

She didn't know what to think of this much snow. It was cute to watch her kick her feet up.....

Isaac and Ava didn't waste any time speeding down the hill.....

After a while Willow had fun cheerleading through the truck window....

She was content as long as she had some snow to hold (great for teething).......

Isaac off on another run down.......

This is what he looked like at the end of the hill......

The temperatures were great, the snow deep ~ what a fun time!

Ava by far did the most runs.......

Isaac took brief warm-up breaks in the truck with Willow and I......

..... and got a hold of my camera :)

~ Happiness is the first tracks in freshly fallen snow ~

Ever since Ava was 2 years old she's had this risk-taker attitude. She's so enthusiastic and fun, which makes it a pleasure to capture on camera :)

Bryan would have joined us if he could......

After sledding we decided to drive up to Upper Lehman Creek Campground and go for a little walk.
It was so beautiful.....

Willow was happy listening to the water move under the snow. But then I think she realized how cold she was getting (I don't have any real snow boots for her yet). She gave me the indication she was done with our winter activities....
"Can we go now?!"

I had fun with my snow angels.
Snow much fun!
Haha!
