Thanksgiving Weekend 2010

This is the first measureable snow that we recieved in Baker this year to actually sled in :)
So, the kids and I pulled out our winter gear, layered up, and hit the town.............

Of course, I let Ava share some of the work before she rode on the sled. You can see our trusty side-kick Alaska is right there too ;)

Alaska actually stayed on the sled for a little while. His paws were getting cold.........

The following pics were taken over Thanksgiving break. These are just a few of the many taken at mom's house. Thank you Rachel and Sarah for taking these photos!

The family is growing and it is getting more challenging to get photos of the kids all looking (and looking happy)...... LOL

All these photos (which I'm stealing from Sarah and Rachel) and much, much more will be uploaded to my November Album on picasa soon. We had great food, great fun, great chaos, and great company for the Thanksgiving holiday :)
This weekend I'm looking forward to getting a tree and stringing up some lights :)
I've done almost all my Christmas shopping already (on-line)........ just a couple more people to shop for.
My, my the days do fly........
Have a great week everyone!

Pruess Lake

Before Old Man Winter made a fierce appearance - Ava, Isaac, and I went on an outing to Pruess Lake (more like Garrison Pond). The water is super low. The sun was about to set and the temperatures were dropping rapidly.

Isaac kept trying to get into the water........

That was a fun little adventure...........

Oh - and we recently noticed that "Alaska" is a "HE"!!!! LOL
When I got him as a kitten he didn't look male - and after that we really didn't care or notice......

Can you believe how he is with Audrey's boxer? He's headed for a bruisin' someday........
Tomorrow is Thanksgiving!
Happy Turkey Day everyone!!!!!!
XOXOXOX

Back in the Wagon Again

The leaves have been stripped from the trees and Isaac is happy to eat them..... or at least explore the texture.

The little red wagon is back in working condition after fixing a tire....... which has opened a door for another way to exercise (both Ava and myself) depending on who pulls/pushes it. We are all enjoying it again :)

I think Isaac was mostly happy to be snuggling with Ava :)

Around town we go! I didn't get a picture of Alaska - but she is always right there with us like a little dog. I have to pick her up when I see dogs or cars and such. I wonder how she's handle a harness and leash? lol

If the weather permits - we usually end up at the playground ;)

I can't help but laugh at this picture of Isaac. He's growing out of this snuggle suit and won't be wearing it much longer. Krupa got Ava this outfit when she was born. It's well used by both of them now....... lol

Can you believe Ava took this picture of Isaac and I?! I didn't crop it or anything..... Ha ha. A natural photographer ;)

With the exception of the annoying wind - it's been tolerable to get ouside the last couple of days.......and that makes everyone happy :D

((Sigh))

It has snowed twice and the cold temperatures are keeping us cooped up inside lately. Sometimes it's hard to keep up with Ava and Isaac's energy. I try to get outside in the "warmer part of the day" (ha ha) in which we walk to the post office and go to the playground until our bones get chilled. It's going to be a l.o.n.g. winter and I'll try my best not to get too depressed. I don't mind snow to play in..........I just don't like the cold :(

Look how peaceful Bryan and Ava look. Sleep is something I need more of. I could go on and on about things I dislike about this time of year....... but I realize I'm starting to sound like Susie Downer.

In the light of things - I've gotten back into scrapbooking after a year and a half. I'm doing both Ava and Isaac's (birth to 12 month) albums. Then - I think I'm going to go the shutterfly/blog book way. I usually get my scrapbooking done at night.

Hope everyone has a Fantastic Friday!

11 Months Old

Isaac is 11 months old tomorrow (Friday)!

He does his "caver's shuffle" (and occassionally crawls) all over the house. Sometimes I have to go look for him. Twice I found him playing in the toilet! Auuuuggh. Now I try to make it a point to shut certain doors ;)

He can say Mamma, Da Da, and Boo (when he wants to)

Next big step: walking.

Here's a comical video of Ava and Alaska I took last night............

LOL
:D

Halloween Weekend

The kids did good in the car on our 4 hour drive to Elko. It was great to see Aaron, Rachel, Hayden - and f.i.n.a.l.l.y. meet the newest little Lamb ;)
Addison - of course. lol

She's so stinkin' cute! I can't wait to see her and little Morgyn (Sarah & Jamie's youngest)together (they look so much alike in certain pictures).

I even got her to smile ;)
Well, before we got to Elko - we really didn't have concrete plans for Halloween. So we decided to dress the kids up and go somewhere.......

We went to the Convention Center in town and went trick-or-treating.

Hayden: The Dead Ballerina
lol
Ava was going to be the same thing - but after she saw what Rachel did to Hayden's eyes, she didn't want to be "dead" anymore. Ha ha. So, Ava said she was a "fairytale." Ha ha!

After the Convention Center we wanted to surprise Aaron's parents :)
They not only had treats - but a great swing set (to wear off some of that energy from those treats).

We had a great trip! Thank you Rachel and Aaron for your hospitality ;)
Nothing adds more chaos to a household than more kids..... Ha ha! At least they played together this time.

I have much more photos of the trip on facebook. I'm also going to upload them to my Picasa tomorrow. I'd do it now - but I think I'm going to bed.
