Field Day 2015

Just before the official launch of summer, the local schools have Field Day. It's a great time for eager kids to show their skills and have a healthy competition. I actually got carried away and took over a hundred photos. Haha, no joke. I posted most of them on my Facebook if you follow that. But, here are a few for the record of my blog. What a fun day...... and we had mostly sunshine through that day. In other words, it didn't rain!

Just look at my Ava. She is growing so fast. She's strong and beautiful. She may just be as tall as her dad someday ;)
She truly is our mighty girl!

Isaac followed our friend Nomi around most of the morning. She has a special spot in his heart for her. But, who doesn't? She is amazing.

........ another year to shine! Another year to unleash the mighty girl!

Ava's 10th Posted Art Gallery

Wow! I've hit the 10th post of Ava's Art Gallery! Fitting, as she wrapped up her final year of Garrison school. I never know what Ava will whip up with the twirl of her pencil. She draws things so fast too. I sometimes tell her to take her time but she doesn't listen. She's got her own mad style.... lol
She finds inspiration in books she reads, school programs, adventures with her family, and her love for nature.

This is one of my favorites of the bunch. This piece is so creative and tells a story. She named it the "Melting Turtle."

I threw in a couple of her poems from school.....

We made two owl handprint pieces. The first one we sent to Grandma Hamilton; the second we made a week later and hung on our wall. I love these! I already know what I'm going to do the next time around ;)  I have to do these now before Ava decides to grow out of it :)

Next year in Baker school, Ava will have the opportunity to be in an art class! She will love that!

and as vital as nourishment."
