Bighorn Sheep in Boulder City

On our road trip home from Arizona, we paused at Boulder City, NV to stretch our legs. Bryan had mentioned how big horn sheep come down to graze there this time of year. To our delight, we happened to look over at the city park and saw a large herd spread out across the grass. It was a great break in our travel indeed!

We had to refrain Willow from ambushing them as she moved quickly their direction. She was excited to see those large mammals too. Notice the marker on Willow's face? She's been handy with pens and markers lately ;)

The bighorn were like, "Keep playing on the equipment kids; no big deal." Haha!
It felt a little strange to be amongst these powerful animals as children climbed the monkey bars.
Did these kids know what a treat this was? I was mesmerized.......

This bighorn was chatting with a feathered friend.....

Boulder City has a beautiful city park overlooking Lake Mead, the bighorn sheep drew more attention for sure. Other people stopped to take photos.

Too cool!

    1. It was. How would it be to have bighorn come down from the mountain and hang out at Baker School? Hahaha
