We were anticipating this road trip for months. Thankfully, the weather was in our favor; it was beautiful! Our destination: Cripple Creek, Colorado. We crossed rivers and plains....... oh yes, and over and inside mountains..............
...........across the Continental Divide and through many small towns. We even found South Park.

The nice thing about staying in hotels is the opportunity to swim in clear water; and indoors! After a long day of sitting in the 4runner, it felt so good to float around. Mostly it was a super way to wear out the kids! Ok, we needed the exercise too. We were prepared by bringing Ava and Isaac's life jackets. These photos were taken at 2 different hotels. Did I mention we had the pool all to ourselves?!
They both improved on their swimming skills this trip. Isaac is a little fish! It's so cute to see him floating around, kicking his legs in the water propelling himself forward. He's a little risk-taker. We got to watch this kid!
Ava is proud to show her little tricks too. Eventually they were both jumping off the sides into the water. It was fun to see them giddy. lol
