The kids are divided into groups by age. They read and then do an activity together. They get to check out books to take home and read for the week.
We've actually missed a couple of weeks for this program because we've been out of town. But, hopefully we can make the last couple of sessions......
Emma and Isaac love to dress up, for whatever occasion...... :)
Roberta taught the kids one of their first lessons of Poetry. She got the wheels turning in their little heads and they all created a poem. Hopefully, I'll post their product later :)
The smaller kids enjoyed bubbles outside the door with Carol.......
Back at the table, Roberta is great at holding the 5-6 year old's attention. I think they all enjoyed that.

Part of the fun with getting together for the reading program is the opportunity to play with friends at the playground afterward!
It was a beautiful night! Lots of cloud cover so the temperatures were ideal. The kids decided to have races. The wheelbarrow race is a favorite for everyone......
Then, they jumped over each other in a game of leapfrog!
