South Fork Baker Creek Trail

Last Wednesday while Bryan & Ava were in transit home from Ohio, we went on a hike with my friends Rosaleen & Crystal. It was a chilly day with temperatures in the 40's. The temperature must have been ideal for the yellow-bellied rock marmot. We saw 9 or 10 of them in a 3 mile stretch on the Baker Creek Road.

We made it up to Lion's Meadow. Isaac and I stayed while Rose and Crystal proceeded to hike up another mile. My legs and upper shoulders were screaming at me. I wanted to save my energy hiking off the mountain...... it's not easy carrying a 26 pound little boy, camelbak, and other various items up a steep trail. Rose was a trooper and carried my camera :)

We found a great log for Isaac to teeter-totter on :)

Just us, the trees, flowers, and the bees............

The hikers, and the hitchhiker..... lol
