Pruess Play

Last Wednesday we went out with Jess, Benjamin, and Lily to Pruess Lake to swim. The weather on the mountain looked threatening, but we decided that maybe it wouldn't be too bad around Garrison the other direction. We decided to take a chance. When we got there, the temperature was not ideal for swimming. It appeared that the weather would force us to head back home. We even had jackets on. Then, about 10 minutes later the sun came through the clouds, the temps rose and we settled in for the day. You could see that all around us there were rain storms; in every direction except at the lake where we were sitting. I was grateful that it ended up being so nice. Not too hot and not too cold.

Willow is obsessed with the baby Lily........

Willow wore her floaties for the first time.....

Lily is a little trooper ~ always in the mood for an outing.......

Benjamin was a fish. He spent almost the entire time in the water!

In between periods of clouds came the sun which made us shed layers of clothes again......
even Lily appreciated that  :)

Someone found a bucket and made a game out of it :)

There was a gentle breeze (which is surprising because the Garrison area is usually known for its constant wind!) which allowed us to watch the kite sway in the sky........ and occasionally crash into the water because the breeze would go away.....

It was a beautiful day......

Willow started doing what I thought was her "poop position" (she hides under her hands so no one will see her doing her business)....... lol
But, she was just showing me that she was really just "pooped out" exhausted........ Ha!

So, we packed our gear and headed home. I really didn't know how long we'd been playing at Pruess until I turned the ignition to the vehicle on. We'd been playing for just under 5 hours! It was dinner time!
Wow! Time really does fly when you are having fun!
