Playing at Pruess

There have been periods in July where we've had some fantastic thunderstorms. Somedays, however, it would just threaten to rain and never materialize into anything. On this particular day it poured at Great Basin National Park and Baker. So, we decided to drive over near Garrison to see if if there was a little blue sky. When we got there it was just sprinkling, and pretty soon it seised. It was perfect.

The kids found another way to use rain jackets in the Great Basin.......

My sister Rachel brought her kids and our friend Bethany joined us......

This newborn praying mantis came to check us out. Or vise versa ;)

My little water baby, Willow, loves to lean forward and dunk her face in.....
It's pretty funny.....

It was a great, relaxing day. When we got home we were greeted to this wonderful sight. The glow of the rainbow felt like a hug. A wonderful end to a wonderful day......

Home. Sweet. Hami. Home.
