Escape to Fish Lake

The summer's end is around the corner. This has definitely been a crazy, busy, exciting couple of months. I feel like all summer months fly by.  However, this one has been a blur. Haha. We've enjoyed the ride thus far. We had the opportunity to meet friends and family at Fish Lake, Utah (about a 3 hour drive from Baker). We've never been there; and we eager to see it.

The original plan was to camp, but we decided to rent a cabin instead because Audrey said she had rented one and there were still a few available. The photo above is the one that Audrey rented. The one below is ours; a little more rustic. But, there was a bathroom and a bed and that's all we needed :)

Rachel and her three adorable kids (Hayden, Addison, and Alex), our friend Bethany were able to make the trip too. Audrey's significant other, Brian, traveled from Vegas to meet us here as well. It was great to have everyone here at the lake.

Willow was excited for another new adventure and was happy to see new faces :)

Isaac offered assistance to a safety zone when Alex decided to play in the road..... Haha

The kids helped Bryan get tackle ready for fishing....

They didn't waist any time, as they headed toward the marina.....

Here is the view of the cabins and store......

Willow, Addison, and myself watched the other's throw lines and hooks in the water ........

Isaac was focused on the task at hand........

What a beautiful evening!

The following day, we all headed toward water again.....

I stole these two photos from Bethany, as well as a few others posted here :)

Rachel did all of our hair that morning. She has mad skills :)

Bryan took Isaac on a boat ride....

Rachel took this adorable photo of Willow.....

Yeah, my hair rocks! :D

One afternoon it rained. It didn't put a damper on our day. It was nice to sit out on the porch over looking the lake and listen to the pitter-patter of drops along with Bryan and Isaac's music.....

Can you tell these two are related?

Bryan, Brian, Isaac, and I spent a couple of hours with our friends on their boat......

The first fish was hooked........

Isaac got to drive the boat ~ he was super excited about that :)

Ospreys were on the lookout.......

That evening we went to our friends campsite, played music and ate s'mores......

The next morning we decided to get a group photo before everyone had to depart.....

This Fish Lake adventure was so much fun, we plan to return and go exploring in other areas that we didn't see (and go fishing some more!). It was extra special to spend time with friends and family.
Another fabulous weekend!
