Wheel-a-thon 2018

The Garrison/Baker Schools had their annual Wheel-a-thon. Kindergarten through 2nd grade ride 8 miles and 3rd to 6th ride double. Can you believe it? The weather cooperated! Not a cloud in the sky! Warm temps were encouraging and it was probably the smoothest operating Wheel-a-thon event in history. Don't get that in writing, but it was fantastic!

I rode my bike with the Garrison school so I ended up with more pictures of them. I tried to get the Baker school when we passed and at the finish line.....

Willow and another preschooler were ready to keep up with the big kids. Look at that determined face!

The two schools reunite and suddenly it looks like quite the crowd!

The local law enforcement from both the state of Nevada and Utah came out to do obstacle courses and a raffle for the kids.....

"If you think about it, ALL we have is time and energy. You choose how you want to spend it" ~ Marjorie Coffman, 92 years of age, has been volunteering as a mile marker attendee for roughly 25 years!

All the kids made it again this year. What a great group of kids!

The first quarter in this year is already going by fast! Yikes!
