Spring Break Part One: Osburn Residence

For the first part of the kid's spring break ~ my mom, the kids and I drove to Eureka to stay with my sister Sarah. It was her birthday and her daughter Morgyn's the week before so we planned to help them celebrate. Bryan stayed home to write/work those days.
On the drive we decided to take time to go off the highway to visit the ghost town called "Hamilton."
I've been wanting to see it for a couple of years. This was a good day to stop and check it out.
Many structures remained standing in the bushes.....

Another reason for our visit to Eureka was to see Sydnie, Jorja, and Morgyn perform their dances in the old (restored) Opera House. I've always wanted to see a show there. This was such a treat to see those girls on stage. We arrived early to make sure we got balcony seats......

Those girls did such a great job!
The following day, we wore ourselves out on the "Osburn Farm." It was great to meet the new horses (adopted Mustangs from the BLM), the dog, and the baby goat.
Isaac was more interested in playing taxi in the Jeep around the yard. He was in his element.... Haha

Sarah saddled up Snickers for everyone to ride. That was the highlight of Ava's day :)

After a great morning of fun in the sun, we went inside to get ready for the birthday party.

Happy Birthday Morgyn!
And, Happy Birthday Sarah!
It was great to make a quick escape to your neck of the valley!

We only had a couple more days left of spring break. We were looking forward to the next part of our adventure with our first camping trip!
