U Dig Fossil Adventure

One of the activities that we did when Deb and Ben came to visit was head out to the desert to collect trilobites at "U-Dig Fossils." We have been to a free-of-charge spot in the general area years ago, but this time we decided to try our luck at the large quarry. It was a sunny, warm day. We had to seek some shade for part of the time. Overall, we all did well and were pretty happy with our findings.

The crew, ready to go to work :)

Bryan found the largest, most unique trilobite. It was cream colored instead of black. Gem of a find.
Willow's hand to show scale :)

On the drive back home we decided to detour through Marjum Pass and the House Range.
We paused at one of our favorite places to play in the sand and playa.....
