Return to Nye County

Our friend Jon has his camping/fishing birthday celebration at a place called Sunnyside. This is our second time attending. It's a great way to "jump-start" the camping season. It's quite the gathering with friends. Willow and Lilly ran to each other's arms as soon as they saw each other. So cute.
We set up our tent immediately knowing the chance of rain was significant. In fact the chances of precipitation increased all week long!

We just knew that we were having fun."

We huddled around a campfire a lot on this trip. Burrr!

Saturday was the "nicer" day weather-wise. The 90 + degree warm spring felt wonderful. Getting out of the water into the chilly air was the difficult part. When the sun was out it was much more inviting. We took advantage of each ray and minute of sunshine!

Fishing was a big success. Patrick and Bryan went out on his boat. Bryan had some fish cleaning to do! Boy, are those fish tasty!

Saturday evening was stormy (rain and windy) rough night. It felt as if the rain wouldn't cease.
The drive home through the Nevada mountain passes was interesting with wet snow. I guess the Ely airport broke its 1971 record of 0.3 inches of snow this week. The new record is 0.8 inches! It's been a memorable, wet spring!

Funny, it rained on us last year (posted Here) but the temperatures were more forgiving then :)
