The Great Christmas Tree Hunt

My friend, Gretchen, and the kids and I got our 4$ permit and decided to go on our great Christmas tree hunt 2018 together. We were hoping to drive up higher in the mountains to get a White Fir. We knew there would be some snow up high, (left over from October storms) but would there be enough to sled on? We packed our winter recreation gear just in case. We were lucky to get up high enough to pick a tree of our choice. There was about 4-5 inches of snow! Plus, snowflakes were dancing down from the sky. It was cold, but pretty! This was the first chance to sled for the season. The kids were eager to jump in!

Isaac brought some style and cheer  ;)

Ahhhhhh, taste of Winter..........

After sledding for a while we decided to get started on the tree. Isaac was excited to get to work haha......

Snow was still coming down hard........

Two trees were lifted into Gretchen's truck. Success!

We ended the adventure with a great sled ride being pulled from the back of the truck (safely).
More smiles for miles  :)

We decorated the Fir that night.
"Oh Christmas Tree, Oh Christmas Tree."
"It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas"
 So many reminders of songs......hahaha
