July Wrap

Just like that, July came to an end. Bryan has been busy in the field this summer. Small mammals were the focus for a few weeks. It's been a crazy infestation of mice this year, including our house and shed! The residents of Snake Valley have all had issues with these little buggers. So, lots of data to be collected....

Catch and release, some of them more energetic than others......

CMBDI'S ? (See them beady eyes?)

With rodents come the snakes. We found one Gopher snake in Grandma's yard. Willow eagerly grabbed it from my hands "Oh, let me have it! Can we take it home?"
Hahaha that's our girl!

The end of July means that school starts around the corner. We got some of our shopping done in the city in preparation for it. Isaac made enough money selling cookies at the Farmer's Market to buy a new kayak! He was thrilled! Now, he can go out with his friend Matthew :)
We tried it out on Pruess Lake.

Another day in the sand and water. Not so much sun, as it was overcast. It rained everywhere, except on us :)

After almost a decade, I told Ava she can finally haul me around! Even if it is a paddleboard. Haha!
Look at her. We had to buy size 6 women's shoes for school!

We decided that would be our last swimming adventure at Pruess Lake. The water is shallow and the mud is too thick and slimy. We had a great summer run on it though!
The afternoon clouds have been fantastic to photograph. I love seeing everyone else's photos too; sharing the views across the valley.

Softball is still in progress. It's relaxing, and a lot of kids have been playing....

Some days it feels like Fall is in the air.....

I'll end the post with more monsoon moments:

MT. Moriah actually had fresh snow.....
