Newspaper Rock:
This is the first trail we decided to try ~ Pothole Point.
Cool dimples covered the landscape....
Ava and Isaac were thrilled to have their cousin Violet tromping around with them.
The vistas were pretty.....
The cacti were blooming....
Bryan and the kids were catching lizards when they could.....
Hike # 2 ~ the ladies went out while the kids took naps in the vehicles. They would be refreshed for the next stop!
The kids were well-rested and full of energy when we drove to the trail-head of hike #3 ~
Cave Spring Trail. This was my favorite hike of the day.

There were a couple of cool ladders to climb as well as really neat rocks, of course!

The late afternoon light was gorgeous on the landscape and felt warm on our skin. Perfect timing.
We hung out on some large rocks and watched the sun lower in the sky.....
Violet was getting the hang of the herpin' :)

The dimming light was at our backs as we returned to our vehicles.....
