Old Town/Rattlesnake Museum

When you visit Albuquerque, the Rattlesnake Museum is a "must-do" on your list. Of course there are rattlesnakes, but they have many other snakes (and critters) as well. Christmas Day was around the corner, so Old Town (where the museum is located) was packed with people doing last minute shopping. This was a busy time on the streets of Old Town.

This was Willow's first visit of course. She was drawn to the tortoises. But, who isn't?

After browsing, they give the kids a Certificate of Bravery document :)

After leaving the museum we went to wander the streets of Old Town. They had it all decorated with pretty lumineers for the holidays. The nearby church was having a live Nativity Scene after dark. There were some barn animals waiting to be led to the manger :)
Apparently, the donkey wasn't so friendly though..... Haha

The sign said, "Donkey Bites." Maybe he was cranky because he hadn't had his hair cut :)

We had hot cocoa and walked around the beautifully lit sidewalks........

The buses were busy that night .......

It was neat to see Old Town in a different (Christmas) light ;)
It made Christmas Eve even more special......
