Good Company!

Last week we had a visit from Rachel and her little Lambs (Hayden & Addison). We had a great time hanging out and visiting all week (which made time fly!) These photos were taken at my house.

Look how big the kids are getting!

This photo made me laugh. Isaac would rub Addison's head gently back and forth like petting a cat or dog. Ha ha

What adorable girls!

LOL
I don't think Addison appreciated Isaac sticking his finger in her mouth on a regular basis!

We took the kids out to the playground to run off some energy (even in the mud and snow).......

Since Rachel and the kids were staying all week - Hayden went to preschool a couple of times with Ava and the rest of the little munchkins :)
Photos will be posted really soon!
Good times, good times :)

Unlock the Magic

............. of the Oreo Cookie!

LOL

Isaac even pulls the cookies apart and eats the filling first!

It's been a good week. Rachel has been here with the kids the last few days - which has been entertaining and great :)
I'll post photos of them soon :)
Have a Merry Monday everyone - and a great week!

Cave Lake 2011

Last Sunday we went to Cave Lake State Park for the last day of the Fire & Ice Festival. The sun has been shining and the temperatures have been climbing which makes for a happy time!

It was a warm enough day that most of the ice sculptures people created melted into big blobs.
The only thing we could make out was this snowman. Ha ha.

The heavy sculptures put so much pressure on the lake - there was a few inches of water along with slush on top of the ice that we had to tread through.

We got a kick out of this sleigh-pulling dog......

Before it got dark we decided to get something to eat in the food tent. The hot chocolate really hit the spot! There was a big crowd here at this event. It surprised me.

Every ten minutes or so someone would fire off this canon - which got to be too loud and obnoxious......

The festival ended with spectacular fireworks........
Ava and Isaac didn't enjoy the noise - next time we will watch them inside the car so they won't get scared.
We had a good time - and it was a great way to spend a Sunday night :)

Blahhhh

This is what my motivation looks like this week:

lol

I wish I could sleep through these c.o.l.d days ....... at least until it gets above freezing. You know it's bad when you would settle for at least 34 degree temperatures! The kids and I get so frustrated at times being forced to stay indoors. I gets so cold that when you take a breath it makes you cough. Thankfully it's supposed to warm up this week............it will be such a thrill to get back into walking anywhere again outside!

Isaac took 7-8 steps today - I tried to get him to do it again, but he wasn't interested in performing a second time (especially when I got out the camera). So, hopefully soon I'll catch him in the act soon and post it for you. He's also popped his 6th tooth; which I didn't notice until recently :)

Well, wish I had more info for you - but we've been sitting here w.a.i.t.i.n.g. for the weather to warm up, just as we are w.a.i.t.i.ng. for baby Colvin to arrive!!!!! Patience isn't my middle name ;)

New Style

I'm still getting used to my new do. I should have styled it or at least combed it before I took these photos - but I worked in Ely most of the day and had it in a ponytail to do massages. You can see the kink in my hair from having it up. But, you get the idea of how short it is now. Some of you are probably thinking "short? That's not too short" but keep in mind I've had long hair pretty much my whole life. Now my hair moves so much I feel like I should be in some sort of a shampoo commercial.... Ha ha!
I think it was about 11 inches that Chandra cut off. I'm donating it to Panteen Pro V's "beautiful lengths" program. She's also going to highlight my hair soon which will be great :)

Do you ever feel silly taking your own photo? I literally deleted 5 before I chose these ones! I'm just don't feel as photogenic as I used to be.....maybe because I'm not as comfortable in my own skin. I think I'll get back up to that point. Hopefully sooner than later.

I'm enjoying my new style. It's low-maintenance in so many ways. Isaac doesn't have much to pull now for his entertainment. I don't have to clean my shower drain as much ;)

I'm curious to see how long it will take to grow this time....... maybe another future donation? We'll see how I feel then........ lol

Thank you again for your awesome skills Chandra!!!!!!

Snake Valley Winter Scenery

Bryan bought me a Cannon Rebel camera for Christmas - and I LOVE IT! I have much to learn with this high tech camera - but I'm sure having fun experimenting with it! Here are some winter photo shots I got while out-and-about in Snake Valley.............

Near Pruess Lake

Road in between Baker and Garrison

I tried to snap the shot quickly before the Bald Eagle flew too far away.........

Wheeler Peak, of course ;)

Old cabin in the town of Baker next to gas station

Road Art: Horse without a Mane

Road Art: Too Tall Tony

Old cabin on our neighbor's (Terry and Debbie Steadman) property

My mom's chicken coop

Mom's yard with the arch Dad built

I'll be more excited to go "out-&-about" when the temperatures at least climb back up into the 30's! We try to spend at least some time outdoors everyday - but it can be miserable. You're not outdoors too long before your nose feels like it's going to crack off your face. I miss the November rain. It's too early to say I want summer back........ lol

In Other News:

Preschool has started back up this week after the holiday break.

Bryan is back to school as well, attending BYU three days a week (Mon, Tues & Wed).

I got my hair cut by Chandra Conrad yesterday morning - I'm still getting used to it because it feels short. But, I like it and it's low maintenance. Definately a change for the this new year :)
I'm going to have it highlighted soon. I'll try to take photos and post them.

Baby Colvin is still in pending, I haven't heard of any rush to the hospital yet ...... hang in there Rob and Amy and try to convince that baby to come out! We want to meet him/her!!!
The anticipation is killing me! lol

Hope everyone is having a great week - the weekend is almost here................
