Rose Guano Cave

One evening before the time changed, some friends of ours joined us on a little adventure to Rose Guano Cave. It was a gamble whether the bats would be there or not because it's the migrating season. We have had a warm trend in the weather so we thought we would check it out. Plus, it's been a few years since we'd been to view them. It was also a good opportunity to stretch our legs.
Here is what the cave looks like from the highway......

I will tell you now that the road that takes you there is not a road anymore. We boulder-bounced all the way up.
Near the entrance to the cave there is a natural limestone arch which is pretty cool .......

There is an old mine where they used to mine bat guano......

The sunlight hitting the valley was really pretty.... what a view!
You can see windmills on the valley floor.
I'm happy to say they weren't spinning fast (lucky for us).....

The Pollard Family:

The lights were starting to shine on the windmills. Not too much longer until the bats would show.....

Ok, we didn't see any bats. Unfortunately. But, it was still worth the drive.....

So, we thought the bats may have all left, but Bryan talked to one of the Nevada Division of Wildlife guys and found out that some were still there. We just didn't see them I guess.
Well, we will return in September next year.....

Border Inn Halloween Party

Halloween in Baker never ends.... Haha Just Kiddin'
We managed to do 2 out of 3 events. At least Isaac and I did. Ava got to go on a little road trip with my mom and Audrey to Kanab, Utah. Bryan watched our weeping Willow while Isaac and I attended the party at the Border.

I went as Mrs. World "Anna Tommy."

I got these leggings on eBay for $15 bucks.
I figure I could wear them at massage events too in the future :)

I had tried to dress Willow up like a kitty before we decided she was too tired to attend the party.

My fake lashes were feeling heavy, like ostrich eyes! Haha
It's fun to get dressed up :)

My brother Adam came as "The Hulk."
We compared muscles....... lol

I stole a couple of these photos from my cousin Janille who had her wonderful camera there. It put my iPhone to shame.... Haha

Don't get excited, this is not Adam's girlfriend, this is our friend Katie ~ in case the wheels started rolling in your head  ;)

Most of Isaac's paint came off his face. Or perhaps he rubbed it off because you can see how tired he was. I took a little dinosaur home shortly after this photo was taken......

Queen of Hearts and winner of the big prize at the Border!

Janille and Karla showed up in the same dress!
Funny, because last year Karla and I showed up in the same fairy outfit too! Ha!

Adam was one of the winners of the night as well (deep down I knew he would be)!
:)

I'll end the post with that champion pose.....

Goodbye Halloween and October.
Hello November!
