April Arrival !

Spring in the Great Basin ~ 70 degrees one day and 50 the next. Whiplash weather. It reminds me of late summer monsoons. The cloud formations are dramatic and beautiful. Extra moisture in the high desert is already bringing out signs of a possible super bloom. We will see. I hope the April showers brings lots and lots of wildflowers! *Crossing fingers while doing a rain dance* Haha

Home, home on the range...... where the deer and the antelope play.

We see loads of cool things when we drive this 5 year old "fashionista" 15 miles across the valley to preschool  ;)

Ella and Isaac represented Baker School 3rd and 4th grades in the White Pine County District Spelling Bee.
We brought a fan club to help cheer them on. Ella took home first prize and Isaac, third.
It was a new, and good experience for both of them. So proud! 

Bryan and Ava were able to schedule a weekend getaway to do some field herpin.' They went to the desert near Laughlin, Nevada. Yes, more precip in that region and they found themselves in a rare super bloom. Flowers knee high! Ahhhhhh mazing! Bryan gets credit for taking all these photos of course!

Along with other critters, they found some cool herps including diamondback rattlesnakes and chuckwallas (my personal favorite). They had a great time.

What a special adventure! :)
