Brown Lake

Summer season is in full swing with at least half a dozen hikes under our belts. It's been lovely to get out and about. We had some crazy windy days that drove us crazy last week. Those are the challenging times, wind blowing heat like we were sitting under a hairdryer all day.
Meg, Willow, Ava, and I drove up to 10,000 ft to see what the conditions were up that high. At least it wouldn't be hot. We were happy that the wind was present but not annoying like in Baker. So, up the trail we went!

We paused to notice the snow and meandered through the pine forest. Nature is art.

Just like that, we changed the course of our day and mood by changing the scenery.
Ahhhhhhhhhh........

Brown Lake:

The water was actually a lot warmer than we thought it would be......

"...... and I think to myself, what a wonderful world."
