7 Months Old

Yeah, this post is all about him:
Isaac turned 7 months old on July 5th.

A lot has happened in 7 months! The photo below is of Isaac back in January (just over one month old).

6 months and one big surgery later - look at the change! He's about 17 pounds and tall.

I say this all the time - but I can't believe how time goes by!

I started feeding Isaac baby food at 6 months old (freshly made from my garden) and he

FINALLY takes a bottle! The bottle is a h.u.g.e. milestone. He just would NOT take it! It's a sigh of relief because now maybe I can get someone to babysit Isaac and Ava. Then, Bryan and I could escape for a day or two...... lol

He is now rolling (in one direction) across the floor and sitting up for a long period of time.
I can't imagine what he's going to be doing next month! Good thing our house is still pretty much babyproof (I may have to move some plants). You should see him in his walker - he really can navigate the kitchen well. He is really determined to from one place to the other! Sometimes he gets mad if he can't (I think it's the red hair). lol

I feel like he's been teething forever! But still no sign of any pushing through......
I remember Ava had her first one at 6 months.

This is what Isaac does if I say "GIMME KISSES!"

lol

It's so cute :)

Bryan has a way to get the kids in a good mood when he plays guitar. Ava dances and sings with him and Isaac usually sits and listens (and watches his crazy sister move around).

Of course everything goes in the mouth..........

So, here are 3 videos of Isaac's bigger accomplishments for your entertainment:

Rolling, rolling, and rolling (again)

Hope everyone has a fantastic weekend! We look forward to tomorrow's camping trip and Sunday softball!
All these and more photos will be uploaded to my Picasa Web Album later.

Family Photos

The only picture I took of the following photos was the one of Audrey. The others were taken by Sarah and Annette (thank you). It is always a challenge to get everyone together for a group photo. So, here is our attempt. I'm hoping we will try it again around Christmas. The family will have another addition by that time (Aaron & Rachel Lamb).

Baby Lamb will arrive late August to early September!!

Random Nature Photos

We've had a Cholla Cactus in one of our rock gardens for a few years now and for the first time ever - it bloomed this June!

Over at Audrey's house there were a couple of baby hummingbirds hanging out in the nest in her backyard.

This should give you a better idea of the size................

My flowers have attracted some beautiful butterflies which is always fun

Bryan saw a Gopher Snake on the trail on the way back from work one day. Why is it all twisted like a pretzel? Look closer.........

This happy snake successfully caught his snack :)

One unhappy Antelope Squirrel..............
I knew you'd enjoy more snake photos (it had been a while since I posted any). I felt like you might be missing it. lol
Happy Friday (tomorrow!)

4th of July

We attended the Independence Day Celebration in EskDale again this year. As always, there was quite the crowd, good food, great show, and fantastic fireworks. I still couldn't believe it's already the month of July. Where is the summer going?

Charlie and Ava enjoyed rolling down the grass hill and wrestling for a while.............

Ava in her "red, white, and blue" tanktop & stained red lips...... lol

Handsome Charlie, he looks so grown up..............

The two of them together = double trouble
Darkness is falling upon the amphitheater................

You wouldn't believe it unless you were there, but it was c.h.i.l.l.y. for the July! I forgot to bring a jacket for Ava but I did remember a blanket for Isaac. Mom held him in a warm cuddle during the show. He just obsorbed all the activity with his huge eyes. I think I'm going to start spelling his name: EYESaac. Ha ha!

A friend gave me her jacket and I shared it with Ava :)

The choir and all the performances were great..........

Snuggling with grandma in the warm jacket............

When the fireworks started Ava was scared because of how loud it was. Bryan said she had a death grip on him and the chair. You can tell from the photo below. lol.
So, him and Ava watched the rest of the fireworks from the car (which was parked behind us). She was fine with that. I don't know what Isaac thought. He definately didn't sleep but he never made a sound (not like we could have heard it anyway). He just sat in grandma's arms with a wide expression looking at the colors in the sky. I'm sure if we could read his mind he'd be thinking "what the h$%?"
LOL

For those who missed out on this fantastic show of lights and sound at EskDale - here are 3 videos for your entertainment. Or if you were there, you can enjoy them again!

I hope you all had a wonderful Independence Day Celebration wherever you were!!!
