Ava turns 12!

Ava requested a destination birthday to one of our favorite places, Duckwater. Her cousins Addison was born on the same day. Another cousin, Jorja, has her birthday 8 days before. So, we decided to sync everyone's schedule and plan to celebrate the three girls together mid August.
Duckwater had been calling my name all summer. I was really looking forward to this, especially with this crowd :)

The kids would have spent the whole 5 hours in the water if there skin didn't get so wrinkled and made them take breaks haha.....

First Day of School

Pop a cork ~ the first day of school arrived! It's mid August and the temperatures are still in triple digits with minimal clouds. It doesn't "feel" like school starting with a continual heat wave.
But, here we are. Three kids in three different schools this year, and two time zones haha.

Ava: 7th Grade at EskDale School 

Isaac: 4th Grade at Baker School 

Willow: Kindergarten at Garrison School

No one in the universe is more excited to go to school and hop on a school bus!
She's got all her marbles but missing a tooth. Haha.
Watch out world, this extrovert is bringing some energy!

Willow's first homework:

The first week of school was rough, as to be expected. We were all exhausted. I'm not even used to getting up at 5:45. Isaac had a challenging first day when the reality of Ava's absence hit him. Awe. It's going to be an adjustment. Ava seems to love her first week of seventh grade. Willow has been eager of course to jump on that bus every day! She loves hanging out with her cousin Clara at school.
Hopefully the year will run smoothly.
