They started at opposite ends of the highway; then they usually share the last mile or so and end the ride together. It's a neat process, and a great fundraiser for the schools.
So, here are the 1st and 2nd graders ready for action (there were no kindergartners this year).
It appeared that the weather was going to cooperate too!
Cue the "I can see clearly now the rain is gone" song.......

Look who Gretchen is pulling! These two are in training. Isaac and Emma may get to pedal next year for practice. Otherwise for now they can sit and look adorable and enjoy the ride! :)
Watching Gretchen made me wish I was on a bike! Well, maybe next year ~ with a 10 month old!
In no time at all, the Baker school crossed paths.......
It's really encouraging and the ride is much more enjoyable with friends.......
Most years the bus usually ends up picking up at least one tired kid. But, so far everyone kept going!

Our weather trend during the week made the landscape come to life. Everything is green. There were many large, standing puddles in the sagebrush.
