Thanksgiving 2019

The holidays are extra special when families can reunite for a string of days off and enjoy each other's company. Family time is what I am most thankful for. Cue ~ Thanksgiving, or now some call it #thanksliving. I can't believe how time is flying!
This year it was spent at Cedar Crest (near Albuquerque) at Sarah and Waseem's house. We put in a long 13 hours in one day. We planned our driving miles in between widespread snow storms. That pales in comparison to Ben, Deb, and Amy's travel driving miles from Ohio and Tennessee!
It was wonderful to see everyone again. I missed all these faces! All the kids grew like weeds in a year too!

When we are in Albuquerque, we are sure to stop at the Rattlesnake Museum. After looking at dozens of various types of rattlesnakes we wandered the streets of Old Town.

That evening the kids tasted the first snow flakes of what would be a whopping lingering storm that the meteorologists warned people about. Old Man Winter was making a huge impression for Thanksgiving!

Boy, did it snow! 8 inches of accumulated powder to play in by morning!

First real snow in the season. Perfect for a sled day!

Ben and Deb with all 7 grand kids! Ages 3 to 12.

The drive back home wasn't as long. We spent a night in Aztec with our friends, the Pollards, at their new house. We just picked up where we left off.......

Willpill and Lillpill together again  :)

It was a memorable holiday! Precious moments with friends and family.

Willow Turns 6 !

The youngest Hamikid is six years old now! *GASP*
Luckily the weather was incredible and we were able to celebrate with friends. Local chefs "Salt and Sucre'" made her sheet cake fit for royalty :)
It was 50-60 degrees. We were able to be outside for a few hours which is fantastic for a winter month....

If you know Willow, she is a storyteller and performer. She loves costumes, accessories and coloring her hair. She has an imagination that extends into the cosmos haha. She really enjoys the world of princesses. My sister Rachel gave Willow hand-me-down dresses/outfits and we decided to document them. All year long. These outfits fueled a creative outlet/expression that we ran with. Really, a whole year of silliness, playfulness, and childhood joy captured in clips behind the lens of a camera. She was such a natural in these photo shoots; we both really enjoyed ourselves!
A princess for every season. In the fog, rain, wind, snow and sun!

Here is a "quick" clip version. Unfortunately it's not long enough to show all the different dresses:

If you are interested in seeing the "extended" version and take a peek into the Princess Project 2019 year in review ~ it's on this link:

This video will give you the full effect. All 8 minutes haha. I deleted a bunch of pictures but I couldn't make any more cuts. It's too cuuuuuute.
The little girl singing in the video is Claire Crosby (who is a youtube sensation) a little older than Willow.

Thank you all for making her birthday memorable by sending cards, presents and your love! It really helped this princess's birthday truly special!

Willow Indigo Hamilton, you are a palate of color and a beautiful soul. Thank you for reminding us to be creative, whimsical, playful, and look for the magic in everything! Happy 6th birthday!
