Return to Tule Valley

#WeekendGoals  #Mood
A couple of months ago Rosaleen, Isaac, Willow and I went on an adventure to Tule Valley (Here).
We had such a great time that we were eager to return. This time it would be overnight. We excitedly pitched our tents on the sand. The early evening temperatures were nice and the lighting was perfect. I love this energizing time of day when you feel embraced by a glow.....

West of the House Range..... it was a nice view but a little hazy from the smoke in the sky.

Ava brought a sled to try to slide down the dunes.....

The smoke filled sky made the sun take on a different appearance. The light was slowly dimming on the desert.....

The dogs were thrilled to be here again. Rosaleen took this shot of me as I took their picture from the other side. Hazy portrait....

The moon shone bright across the sand that night. I tried to experiment with night sky photography. Rosaleen showed us cool light painting tricks so we wrote our names......

The next morning we got packed and played more before it got too hot......

We took a walk along the salty playa......

The haze made the surroundings a little dark and eerie. Between walking on a spongy, white surface in a grey surrounding and the landscape texture I felt like I was on another planet....

I suppose this will be the closest I'll ever come to moon walking  ;)

I'm really fond of this place. Our world is full of unique features. It's nice to get out and explore the local gems...
