Moab Spring Break: Arches NP

Audrey, mom, myself and the kids had a day planned for Arches National Park. The temperatures were great; in the 70's. We were looking forward to hiking to Delicate Arch (the most famous arch in Utah).

The drive through the park was beautiful. White, snow-capped peaks with the red rocks and landscape...

 Arches is beautiful but you can't escape the crowds. Tomorrow we would be joined by Bryan, Sarah, Violet, and Ocean where we would go to a (little) less-crowded national park ~ Canyonlands!

Moab Spring Break: Wilson's Arch

....another chapter in the Spring Break saga. Audrey had to work for half the day. Mom, the kids and I slept in and had a leisurely morning with a hearty breakfast. Then we decided to go shop in the famous Hole-in-the-rock store. The kids were excited to spend a little money buying a treat for themselves. We ended up driving further down the road towards Blanding, Utah to Wilson Arch:

It was really windy that day. We sat in the middle of the arch to gaze at the dust blowing in the desert. Haha. No, it was a great view :)
Best of all, no one else was here!

Audrey got off work and was eager for her weekend. The kids were thrilled to have her attention. We sure miss our crazy Aunt Audrey! :)

Tomorrow would be a fun-filled day in Arches National Park!

Moab Spring Break: Dead Horse State Park

Spring Break arrived and we were packed and ready to head to Moab, UT. Bryan would stay a couple days more because he needed to do field work, but he would meet us for the weekend. My sister, Audrey, recently moved for a new job from Joshua Tree, CA. We've been visiting her on spring break for years so it was nice that she moved a few hours closer to home. We've had some great adventures with her. Sarah, Violet, and Ocean would also come up and meet us for a couple of days during the week. I was also happy that mom joined us on this trip. This was going to be a fun and memorable vacation.
Moab was crawling with people this weekend due to the Jeep Jamboree, spring break, and a no-fee weekend for national parks. We avoided going downtown.
Our first day there, Audrey had to work. So mom, the kids, and I went to one of my favorite places ~ Dead Horse Point:

Ava is at the age where she *sighs* or *rolls her eyes* when I ask her to do things.
lol I knew this day would come. How long will it last?

We ended the day driving down the river. It was beautiful. One day on the trip already under our belt.
