Spring Break Part Two: Mystic Hot Springs

Our friend's Patrick and Jess discovered that a band that we really enjoy called, "Trampled by Turtles" was performing pretty close to where we live (2.5 hours away). We were excited to have our first camping experience of the year. We packed up our gear and drove to Monroe, Utah.
I was grateful that my mom could watch Willow so we had a chance to relax a little bit :)

The campground was located at a place called Mystic Hot Springs. We had never heard about it before. We were excited about soaking in the springs.
They had a few cabins and buses (yes, I said buses of all colors) to rent if you wanted. We ended up getting tickets to the concert, camping, and hot spring passes.

They had a neat pond on the property, which contained many exotic fish.....

It was a short walk to the hot spring.......

They had a couple of pools. One warm and one hot. We didn't spend much time in the hot one because it was 70 degrees that weekend.

Bryan and I went hiking above the pools to see the springs......

There were different channels/ditches draining to various tubs as well as the pools at the main house....

It was a pretty view at the top, looking down at the valley and pond below......

A trail continued up to a thermal greenhouse filled with exotic plants and vegetables.

This would be so amazing to have!

The water was almost too hot to the touch at this point.....

There were five tubs (in working order) to climb into.....

Doesn't Jess look like a hot mamma? Her baby girl is due May 2nd! Which is around the corner!

We spent a lot of time soaking at the springs. Then we realized we needed to go make dinner before the concert.

Trampled by Turtles was an amazing show! The best part about it was they only sold one hundred tickets so it felt like a more private concert.

After the show we managed to get a picture with the lead singer and get my poster autographed by all the band members.....

The next morning we had a great breakfast before we took advantage of the springs again......

What a fabulous, relaxing weekend!
