Ava's Ninth Posted Art Gallery

It's been a long time since I did Ava's Art Gallery post. I thought I better catch up in that department, after all her artistic creativity rarely pauses. She has tapped into the comic book world. She did several comic strips that I lost before I got pictures of. The dog may have eaten it; or maybe Willow. Ha!
She's been drawing a variety of animals. Horses still remain her favorite. But, honestly when she hands me a paper I never know what to expect. She can look at a figurine like a plastic animal and draw it. She draws things so fast sometimes. Whipping it up with her mad skills.......

She took her artwork one day to a new level: Scribble Art Sticks  :)

It's always fun to see the changes.......

Turkey Shoot 2014

There was quite the crowd at the Turkey Shoot this year! It was a pleasant day; minus the blasted wind! We didn't let it damper the mood. I actually took a lot of photos, but for the cost of my blog printing, I chose not to post them all :)
It was time to get out the big guns and ear protection!

Daisy has always been one of the top winners every year. She's a true pioneer woman!

The kid's enjoyed their hot chocolate.....

Bryan's up......

Gretchen.....

Willow was a trooper, she didn't complain at all.......

Yep, even the kids got to join in the competition (after a safety lesson)........

Then, they walked over to see their results.......

Jon, who was kind enough to let me borrow his rifle for the competition. Honestly I hadn't planned to shoot that day. I was just going to photograph. But, I was inspired and thought, "What's holding me back this year?"

Ben......

Craig......

What a beautiful, November day.........

I was tickled at my results; not too shabby for a windy day!
Also, I haven't shot in years ~ and I didn't have a scope on the rifle :)

Bryan, is the one in our family to bring home the bacon; er I mean turkey...... Ha!
He's one to beat in my book!

All of the kids, who participated, each took home a cornish hen which was great!

What a great time!
Looking forward to next year :)
