Back to Bicycling

The kids have been excited about bike riding. We've been taking advantage of the great evening temperatures and getting out to spin some wheels......

Willow's helmet was soon to arrive in the mail......

It wasn't a high traffic time of day ;)

This was the moment I looked down at Willow and asked her, "What do you think about bike riding?"

..... she giggled

Just when the kids were ready to head home, they saw their friend Emma riding through town too. Suddenly they got a second wind and were both eager to join her. They all rode around pretty late that night.

Good times :)

Down on Hamilton Road

It's been an exciting, fun, crazy, stressful-at-times, adventurous whirlwind of a summer.
I think the kids are officially ready for school in two weeks. I am too ;)

Willow is finally getting to the point where she doesn't try to swallow everything that goes in her mouth (like small stones); she'll spit them out. Haha. However she still enjoys grazing grass and leaves. I find unidentified objects in her diaper occasionally.....

She loves the ABC play mat ~ as it's easy on the knees for baby tumbling ;)
She's still trying to figure out how to crawl..... but she manages to get where she wants to go!
Mostly she gets into the stinkbug position (like Ava did).......

Speaking of Ava, She's been sporting a great summer smile. Her front tooth is getting bigger and bigger.....

We decided to see if Ava could fit a hand-me-down bike that we got 5 or so years ago. She did, with the seat lowered. Bryan had to order new tires, oil the chain, and do a little assembling~ but it was ready to ride again.

Bryan and Isaac went on a camping trip (just the two of them) and forgot the sunscreen when they went swimming as you can see......

VWALLA!
Ready for more adventures on wheels!

Of course the kids were both excited for an upgrade. Isaac was thrilled to take over Ava's former bike. Smiles all around.
I had to take pictures of Isaac before I made him go put some clothes on for our evening ride. I told him he would scrape more than his knees if he crashed...... lol

I still can't stop laughing at this picture.........  :D

Hopefully that got a chuckle out of you too :)
