San Diego: Imperial Beach

Ahhhhh, we couldn't go to San Diego without going to the ocean. We anticipated this day. Here is the view as we drove over the bridge to Coronado ~ destination, Imperial Beach!

Lucky for us, it was the middle of the week so it wasn't too popular ;)

The airport was close. I mean, really close so the planes flew right over our heads.......

Lovely day for a swim, or to ride a wave.....

Or just play on the sand :)

Willow enjoyed it for a little while, but was soon ready for a nap. This was good, as we would be here a while ;)

Fun is easily created with sun, water, and sand; and someone to share the moment with :)

This is Ava rockin' her "summer smile" (Summer there, summer not)..... Haha
I told her I could do a whole blog about her summer smile :D

I love the sound of the waves......

We found a mermaid on the beach......

Isaac wanted to be buried too!

These pictures crack me up every time......

Willow contently slept through that action......

Ava was super excited about the waves. She also talked about how the sand washed out from under her feet and she felt like she was moving. I smile knowing that these are good memories that will stick in my kids heads......

Isaac got tired of the heavy lifting (of sand in the bucket) and chilled out with me for a while.......

This was the kid's first visit to a beach. I think they loved it. Ok, I know they loved it .......

Then, Willow woke up! She was ready to go! Haha!

What a fabulous day with our toes in the earth. Tomorrow, we would anticipate a field day for the conference!
