Kanab: Trail Ride

In Kanab, Utah we got into the spirit of the west and signed up for a trail ride. Ok, we really did it for Ava. Ha! But, who doesn't enjoy riding a horse? It had been a while since I've been in the saddle. Ava was eager to get her foot in that stirrup and swing up. Grandpa and grandma Hamilton and Willow were going to explore an old western set/town while we rode.

Sarah and Violet's horse preparing for a long walk..... Haha

And, we are off..........

My selfie :)

What a delightful ride! Great memories. I will also say that the town of Kanab is a really cool place and is so close to many national parks and monuments. We anticipate returning someday.
We feel like we just scratched the surface of this area. But, alas it was time to head home after having a great time with the family. What a great memorial weekend!

North Rim: Kaibab Exploration

We took roads less traveled (unpaved) through Kaibab National forest. We also found some great firewood. Isaac was a great little helper loading it in.....

Grandma and the grand kids being silly....

We didn't see any Kaibab squirrels, but at least the kids to act like one :)

We broke camp ~ Bryan, Sarah, and I (and Willow) accessed a trail, while grandpa and grandma drove to Kanab, Utah with the kids to check into the motel. We would meet them there later.......

There were many beautiful flowers in bloom. Here is my collage:

Willow slept most of the way, I would too if I was in a comfy pack ;)

Another beautiful adventure........
